Microsoft

Back in 2017 I got to join Microsoft’s marketing team as a Senior Community Manager for Microsoft Windows.

Over time, our team went through many changes. For a while, the only constant was the Windows brand voice and social presence: helpful and predictable, overshadowed by painfully outdated dad jokes. Helpful and predictable we could live with… but it was quickly understood that our brands needed to catch up with the snarky, real, and relatable voice of modern internet parlance.

I leapt at the chance to sculpt the voice of all five of these brands as we continued to be entrusted with them.

We didn’t look back.

Making something real.

In 1995 a Microsoft Windows legend was born. 24 years later, the nostalgia zeitgeist and demand for branded swag was stronger than ever. Our team spearheaded the creation of this limited “softwear”.
